Christian Toews of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma’s tribal newspaper reflects on riding the 2025 Trail of Tears in the July 2025 edition of Biskinik.

We were thrilled to see Sharing Lands mentioned in the July 2025 edition of Biskinik, the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma’s tribal newspaper. Writer Christian Toews, who participated in this year’s Trail of Tears commemorative cycle ride from Mississippi to Oklahoma offered his first-hand reflections on the remembrance ride and spoke to Sharing Lands Principal Investigator, Dr Padraig Kirwan, about his participation in the ride and commitment to deepening the Choctaw-Irish relationship through acts of scholarship and diplomacy.
